    • Biography
      John Wesley Fry was born on 6 Mar 1861 in Tennessee, the son of Joseph Hardeman Fry and Nancy House Wesson.
      He married Dora Annalee Pratt on 11 Jan 1881 in Benton Co., Tennessee.
      John and Dora had the following children:
      Bertha Bell Fry - Born on 15 Dec 1881.
      William Harold Fry - Born on 15 Aug 1883.
      Erma Lee Fry - Born on 24 Aug 1885.
      Kate Fry - Born on 26 Jun 1887.
      Joseph Hardiman Fry - Born on 28 May 1889.
      Luttie Victoria Fry - Born on 19 Dec 1890.
      Ella Lois Fry - Born 18 on Dec 1892.
      Nancy House Fry - Born on 6 Aug 1895.
      Ola Ann Fry - Born on 28 Apr 1898.
      Johnnie Lee Fry - Born on 7 Jun 1900.
      John subsequently married Jennie Cain? on 21 Sep 1900. John and Jennie had one child together:
      Jessie Hoyle Fry? - Born on 26 Jul 1901, died 21 Oct 1901.
      After Jennie's death on 5 Sep 1901, John married Annie Mary (Rutan) Flournoy on 6 Sep 1903. They appear together in the 1910 US Census in Humphreys Co., Tennessee. They moved to Alvin, Brazoria Co., Texas sometime before 1920, when they appear there in the 1920 and 1930 US Census.
      John Wesley Fry died on 20 May 1938 in Brazoria Co., Texas and is buried in the Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Brazoria Co., Texas.
      Research Notes
      Some genealogical sites (e.g. Ancestry.com OneWorldTree) list Dora as having died in 1894, however she does appear with John in the 1900 US Census.
      Annie Mary Rutan was previously married to LaBron Scott Flournoy: children Alvin Aubrey Flournoy and Willie Irene (Flournoy) Bounds as well as 3 others who died in infancy. Flourney is also seen as an alternative spelling.
